Why can’t I play Blu-ray disc on Windows OS
If you go to some forums, you may see that there are many users asked why their Blu-ray player didn’t run Blu-ray disc and they consult to the Windows Media Center. Look at these complains: "I have a new acer laptop with bluray and windows 7 home premium and the wmp say no disc when i enter a bluray dvd" "Can I use my Sony Bluray disc player to transmit my computers Windows Media Center to my TV?"

To their disappointed, they can’t find the solution with Windows Media Center. That is because Windows Media Center don’t support Blu-ray basically. If you want to play a Blu-ray Disc or Blu-ray ISO files, you need a third party Blu-ray software installed in your laptop besides an external Blu-ray player or a Blu-ray drive.
But then again, Blu-ray technology is a patented tech. If the Blu-ray disc still fails to run, the reason attributes to licensing requirement from the developer, Sony. Windows said that they will support Blu-ray in 2008, however, we didn’t see such an indication so far.
If you want to watch the Blu-ray content, you have to use Blu-ray ripper to convert it to other video format. Unfortunately, you have to spend more than 60 minutes on it. To get rid of all these troubles, you now can install Easy DVD Player to your laptop. You can enjoy the high-quality image without any tiring converting work. Easy DVD Player is an all-in-one media player designed for your Blu-ray infatuation.
